Our venue, the Marygrove Conservancy, is located in a beautiful, historic part of Northwest Detroit. While there aren't many hotels in the immediate residential area, we think you’ll enjoy staying in Midtown or Corktown which are about a 15-minute drive away and offer the best dining and sightseeing. For a more suburban feel, Allen Park is a convenient 20-minute drive and puts you closer to the airport.

Fly into DTW (Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport).

Getting an Uber or Lyft to and from the hotel should be around $30-50, depending on your stay.

Airport Shuttle (DAX): For a budget-friendly ride, the Detroit Air Xpress (DAX) runs nonstop between DTW and Downtown Detroit nearly every hour. It’s $6 if you book online in advance or $8 at the door. With 16 trips daily from 3:30 AM to 11:00 PM, it's a reliable alternative to a $50 Uber.

Getting around downtown

The People Mover (an elevated loop) and the QLine (a streetcar on Woodward Ave) are the easiest ways to get between hotels, the riverfront, and the sports arenas—plus, they are currently free to ride. While the city center is very walkable, you can also grab a MoGo bike or a scooter for shorter trips. For anything outside the immediate downtown core, Uber and Lyft are plentiful and usually your quickest bet.

Getting around Metro-Detroit

Outside of the downtown core, driving is king. If you are staying in the suburbs or visiting landmarks like The Henry Ford or the Detroit Zoo, we highly recommend renting a car or relying on rideshares.
